A visit to Bath Christmas Market

A visit to Bath is certainly a must but Christmas is a fantastic time to visit our beautiful city.  Although gorgeous and buzzing all year around come November, the city is transformed and  looks magical   Go around Milsom Street and the small side street and discover the lovely lights and gorgeous window displays.

The Christmas Market

One of the attraction at this time of year is the Christmas Market, it is one of the top Christmas markets in the country.  It certainly attracts a lot of visitors and people cover long distances to visit this great event.  Can you imagine it?  With the cathedral and the Roman Baths in the background it gives such a festive atmosphere to you shopping.

It takes place from Thursday 23rd November – Sunday 10th December 2017.

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday: 10am – 7pm
Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 10am – 8:30pm
Sunday: 10am – 6pm

There are over 200 twinkling chalets spread out across the picturesque Georgian streets of Bath selling handmade and local Christmas gifts.  Therefore you are spoilt for choice whether you want to get a handmade toy or sample some mulled wine or other Christmas delicacies.  Why not try some of  the hot food on offer? You certainly can have a lovely time with friends or family!

There are also loads of festive entertainment taking place in the streets and by the Abbey- brass bands and carol singing to name a few to help you soak into the ambience of this festive season.

Obviously there are many more things to do in this great city and you can also plan all your Christmas shopping in its wonderful shops, take a stroll by the river, visit the famous landmarks or go and see a play in the Theatre Royal.
