Photographic Tour of Bath
A couple of years ago, I was invited by Visit Bath to go on a photographic tour of Bath. There were a dozen of us and were met by a photographer who grew up in the Georgian city.
The Tour
I am a frequent visitor to Bath as I love the buzz of the city. I enjoy walking and discovering new little shops or cute little cafés in the lovely lanes. We also take our visitors to the city and show them around.
Armed with our camera, we wandered around the city. We started by the Roman Bath and walked towards the new spa discovering hidden gems and little squares that I was not aware existed. We made our way to Queen Square walking by the Theatre Royal and looked behind the Georgian houses. A little walk through Victoria Park took us to the gorgeous Royal Crescent.
It looked beautiful in the bright sunshine and blue sky. Our next stop was the Circus which has recently been voted the 3rd prettiest street in the UK. The buildings are amazing and you stop marveling at the beautiful architecture.
Our last stop was at the restaurant Woods where we served some refreshments.
More to photograph and see.
We did not see all the lovelysites in Bath such as the Pulteney Bridge, the Holburne museum or any of the other crescents dotted around the town but in less of 2 hours, we enjoyed seeing Bath as a tourist and learnt (or tried to in my case) to get great shots of a wonderful city.
You can book photo tour of Bath with Tony through “Visit Bath”. You can even book a night photo tour. That must be brilliant. It is easy to get to Bath from our Annexe – The Lansdown Park and Ride is only 4 miles away and takes you straight into the city
