We have just stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed it. This is a very well kept property and the owners clearly take very good care of both maintaining the cottage as well as being keen to ensure their customers enjoy their stay. An example of this is the welcome pack on arrival. We were greeted with a beautiful vase of colourful flowers along with a pint of milk and 6 fresh eggs. Both Marie France and her husband Mark are very affable people and keen to share their recommendations and advice so that you get the most from your stay as well as the local area. They also invite you to explore their beautiful garden where you have your own seating area. It all amounted to a comfortable, relaxing and highly enjoyable experience

The most peaceful and perfect spot to stay when you are visiting Bath and Bristol even Wales! Lovely place and great accommodation

The Annexe is incredibly clean and welcoming. The grounds and surrounding area are beautiful, especially so in the sunshine. We only stayed for one night, but the place was everything we needed & we appreciated the milk in the fridge and cake left - sadly we didn’t get time to use the fresh eggs.

We had a marvellous time with our OS maps and bus timetables. This is a beautiful place to return to for lunches, dinners, or revitalizing sleep after exploring the countryside. Looking out of the Annexe window gave me such joy and I am so thankful for this peaceful cottage and the kindness of Marie-France and Mark.

Perfect location for catching up with our family who lives about 15 minutes away. Welcome gift and fresh flowers were very much appreciated. The Annexe is very cosy, well-equiped, clean and tastefully decorated. The garden is a paradise! Marie-France and Mark are the perfect hosts, and we do thank you for a perfect stay. The absolute quintessential English cottage in a picture-perfect location. Whisper quiet, with only birdsong to wake you each morning. Lovely welcoming touches from the owners too — homemade cake, fresh bantam eggs and milk on arrival. Spotlessly clean with a super comfy bed and good linen. Would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay in this beautiful area and in Marie’s lovely annexe. The annexe was very clean and comfortable and well equipped if you wanted to cook. The annexe is so well positioned for visiting Bath, Bristol and Wells, which all are only a few miles away. The hosts were very friendly and happy to share their knowledge of the area. We would not hesitate to return.

An unexpected find. The place is so well looked after. The bathroom looked and felt like a hotel as did the bedroom. The fresh eggs and cake, we had for breakfast were lovely. Such a nice and unexpected gift! The place is bigger than we expected and so much value for what we paid for. Would happily stay there again. Thank you for allow us to stay in the annex.

We had a wonderful stay! Marie is such an amazing host! We received a really useful digital guide prior to our arrival which had all useful information you could need including directions to find the cottage, access and local eateries. The location was perfect for our trip as we needed good access into Bristol but had planned a day out in Bath also, Wick is a lovely quiet area, was lovely waking up listening to the birds each morning. Marie really went the extra mile and made sure we had fresh milk and even a lovely lemon drizzle waiting for us! The annexe is so cosy, we instantly felt at home, it was super spotless and tastefully decorated. We used the kitchen to cook both evenings and found everything in the kitchen we needed, also fantastic having a coffee machine. We can’t wait to visit again and hopefully stay longer!

Wonderful location on the edge of a village between Bath and Bristol. Lots of places to go nearby. Cottage is spacious and well appointed. Friendly helpful hosts make for a special stay.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this beautiful accommodation. Marie-France was so helpful sending us a guidebook prior to our stay so we could properly plan our trip beforehand. Once we arrived the place was extremely clean, in a perfect rural spot. We had absolutely everything we needed, the location was lovely and very peaceful. I would absolutely recommend staying here and would visit again!

We recently booked The Annexe for family members who were visiting us. They found the accommodation to be spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable. They loved the views to the front and seeing the cows pass along the lane and enjoyed walking around the lovely garden and meeting all the chickens, birds and fish. The welcome pack was a nice surprise too.
They would definitely stay there again and would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful setting in which to relax.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Annexe Yew Tree Cottage and highly recommend it for anyone visiting Bath or Bristol. Marie-France and Mark took the time to give us a warm welcome and made us feel at home in their very comfortable, spotless and tastefully furnished Annexe, set in a very beautiful garden. The comprehensive information pack provided everything guests could possibly want to know, although Marie-France and Mark were on hand to chat and provide more information if required. The accommodation award they have received is well-deserved and an appropriate testimony to the high standard they have achieved.

We had a delightful stay. The annex is very comfortable and very well equipped. The owners are really nice people. The annex is in a beautiful country setting but is very well placed for visiting tourist attractions. I am sure this has been said many times before but it is completely true.

Beautiful place to stay. Very clean and welcoming. The garden is amazing. The Spring flowers and blossoms re a delight to see. Marie-France and Mark are very welcoming and helpful. Lots of very thoughtful touches: fresh flowers, lemon drizzle cake and fudge, fresh eggs. The view are stunning! The whole Annexe is beautifully layed out and well-equipped- love the shower. An absolute gem of a place! I was travelling for work in Bristol and always look for somewhere nestled in the countryside with a beautiful outdoor space as I’m a huge nature lover, and this place didn’t disappoint! The garden was absolutely gorgeous and the sound of the birds was so peaceful, I wish I had more spare time to enjoy it! The accommodation itself was beautiful too, it had everything you could possibly need for a short stay and it was lovely and clean! Marie-France was a lovely host who went the extra mile to provide so much information, including very clear directions as well as local recommendations. She was also extremely helpful and brought some sugar when I realised the sugar jar was empty, saving me a trip to the shop! I would absolutely book this again next time I’m in the area 🥰 A really wonderful stay :)

Amazing cottage to stay. It has everything you need, facilities are great, very safe and secure parking and a great location with peaceful surroundings. Comfortable beds and very user friendly heating and other appliances, plenty of kitchen equipment to cook meals. Will definitely be coming back again, it was perfect.

This was one of the best places I have stayed at. It had everything we needed, from the clean airy accommodation, to the surrounding areas and the complete peace and quiet. Perfect location and lovely property.
We couldn't have asked for more, warm and cisy, extremely comfortable bed, all appliances and facilities you could need and really well located for both Bath and Bristol. There's also a lovely pub in the village where we had an excellent Sunday roast, and loads of lanes and footpaths to explore all round the property. We hope to come again.

The Annexe was a very nice place to stay and explore the historic region, from Avebury to Bath and Glastonbury. Quiet and green. Lovely garden, with many birds enjoying the mulberries.

The Annexe is a beautiful cottage. Very nicely reconstructed and carefully decorated and maintained, spacious and with a great and huge garden around. It was very clean and well equipped. Also the location is great: in the countryside, but close to Bath, Bristol and the Cotswolds; walks directly from the house possible, and restaurants, pubs and a big supermarket at a reasonable distance. Mark and Marie-France are very friendly and warm hosts. We had a splendid stay. Highly recommended.
